On the Changing Snow Contribution to Runoff Across Turkiye

چکیده
Contribution of snowfall to runoff is especially important in snow-dominated regions where hydrological processes are mostly influenced by snowmelt. In this study, the contribution Turkey for last 21 years was examined light observed data and model results globally provided NASA. The snow dominant twenty-one were revealed, ratio spatially averaged maximum water equivalent (Rsr) values, an indicator showing snowmelt runoff, calculated two separate periods (2000-2010, 2012-2022). These Rsr values compared across see if they decreasing regions. According analysis, it concluded that all except Aras Çoruh basins. decreased up 50 percent 11-year period with high snowfall, such as upper Euphrates basin.

On the Changing Contribution of Snow to the Hydrology of the Fraser River Basin, Canada
This paper presents an application of the Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) model to the Fraser River basin (FRB) of British Columbia (BC), Canada, over the latter half of the twentieth century. The Fraser River is the longest waterway in BC and supports the world’s most abundant Pacific Ocean salmon populations. Previous modeling and observational studies have demonstrated that the FRB is a...
متن کاملthe effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends
flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

متن کاملChanging Northern Hemisphere Snow Seasons
Spatial and temporal patterns in the onset, offset, and length of the snow season across Northern Hemisphere continents are examined for the period from 1967 to 2008. Full snow seasons (FSS) and core snow seasons (CSS) are defined based on the consistency of snow cover within a location over the course of the cold season. Climatologically, the seasonal onsets of FSS and CSS progress more rapidl...
متن کاملContribution of particulate phosphorus to runoff phosphorus bioavailability.
Runoff P associated with eroded soil is partly solubilized in receiving waters and contributes to eutrophication, but the significance of particulate phosphorus (PP) in the eutrophying P load is debatable. We assessed losses of bioavailable P fractions in field runoff from fine-textured soils (Cryaquepts). Surface runoff at four sites and drain-flow at two of them was sampled. In addition to di...
